Why Arnica Homeopathy?

I chose Arnica as the name and symbol for the practice because the strength and breadth of action of this herb has always held me in awe. Arnica Montana, the mountain daisy with beautiful golden flowers are like miniature suns radiating their healing potential.

Arnica is the first remedy to think of if you have had any kind of physical injury. It can be applied in herbal preparation – easily bought from most chemists as a cream or tincture to be applied directly onto bruised or injured areas (but do not apply to broken skin). But Arnica really comes into its own when prepared in the homeopathic way – which you may see for sale as Arnica 6c or Arnica 30c. Then it can be used to treat injuries at a deep level. It can even be used to treat trauma many years after the event.

However, this wonder flower can not only be used for the physical body but is also extremely effective for treating emotional trauma and shock. If there is one remedy to have in your home first aid cabinet, I would advise Arnica 30c. Here are a few common uses for Arnica as a homeopathic remedy:

  • Injuries
  • Bruising
  • Trauma
  • Shock
  • Bleeding and Hemorrhage
  • Before and after the dentist
  • Before and after surgery
  • Before and after childbirth

(Always seek medical advice for more serious situations – but while waiting for help to arrive, give arnica!)
